About Us

Who We Are

We're a 24-year-old Arizona-based 501c3 nonprofit who believes in democratizing entrepreneurship. No matter where you live, you should have access to the same entrepreneurial resources as those that live in major cities. We believe in founders who wish to not only better the lives of their own family but those within their community as well.

Our MISSION is two-fold:

  1. To help moonshot-thinking subject matter experts bring products and services to market.

  2. To help cities in rural Arizona and beyond develop entrepreneurial ecosystems that create jobs.

When we were looking to rebrand our Flagstaff-based entrepreneurial development program in 2017 (formerly called NACET), we had an epiphany. The role Flagstaff played in the Apollo moon landings was not unlike what Moonshot gives to business startups.

We provide expertise and support to increase the odds of entrepreneurial success by taking ambitious (even radical) business concepts and surrounding them with business acumen, experts, and data.

Moonshot is breaking new ground—and helping more startups launch and succeed—throughout Arizona and beyond.

What We Do

Since 2017, we've created award-winning programs that not only help entrepreneurs and dreamers, but they help create jobs across Arizona. Thanks to incredible partnerships with the City of Flagstaff's economic development team, statewide economic development teams, SBDC, the Arizona Commerce Authority, Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, funding organizations like CIC Tucson and Growth Partners AZ, universities like NAU and ASU, and corporate sponsors like Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, we're now able to offer more than we've ever offered before.

Here are a few of our programs and offerings:

In a nutshell, we believe good ideas can be launched from anywhere, whether you are rural, urban, a city or a small town. Moonshot helps eliminate barriers for people in rural communities to cultivate self-sufficiency through entrepreneurship and workforce development.
