Moonshot is an Arizona-based 24 year-old 501c3 non-profit organization ​whose mission is twofold. We help moonshot-thinking subject matter experts bring products and services to market AND we help cities in rural Arizona develop entrepreneurial ecosystems that create jobs.

Business pitch events are plentiful in major cities within Arizona, but not in rural areas. We are proud to help our rural partners create entrepreneurial ecosystems in their respective towns and cities.

 Over the past six years, the tour has grown substantially and now boasts 20 tour stops/competitions in 2025. We couldn’t do it without our incredible statewide, regional, and local tour sponsors and partners.

Workforce Development Program

Arizona Stitch Lab is a workforce development program that aims to provide industrial sewing skills and training for Arizona communities. Moonshot partnered with the City of Tucson and Sonoran Stitch Factory to create the Tucson lab. Additional pop-up labs have been placed in Winslow and Sahuarita. During the 5-week Basic Industrial Sewing Skills course students will learn the following:

  • Industrial Machine Operations

  • Factory Setting Safety Protocols

  • Construction and Manufacturing 

  • 6 commonly used industrial seams
