​On September 28, 2019 we celebrated our stellar entrepreneurs in Flagstaff and beyond at the 1st Annual Moonshot Entrepreneur Awards at Little America Hotel.

​Not only did we honor current Moonshot rising stars, but we paid tribute to Moonshot graduates as well as Carolyn Shoemaker, astronomer and true pioneer thinker who helped put Flagstaff on the map (alongside her husband, Gene) leading US astrogeology studies.

We also featured winners from our state-wide AZ Pioneer Pitch Tour from Navajo & Apache Counties, Verde Valley, Page, Chandler, and Flagstaff during our cocktail reception. First place winners from each region/city competed against one another for the title of state-wide AZ Pioneer Pitch winner which was announced during the dinner/awards banquet. 

​The 1st Annual Moonshot Entrepreneur Awards banquet and dinner featured: 

• AZ Pioneer Pitch State-wide Award winner presented by APS to Drinking Horn Meadery
• Mission Control Award recipient, Russ Yelton, is honored for outstanding Moonshot mentor & supporter
• ​Moonshot Entrepreneur Award for outstanding current Moonshot member/company went to Atlas Guides and Pro Grow Tech
• The Shoemaker Award dedication honoring Carolyn Shoemaker
• Two 2019 honorary Shoemaker Award winners--Kahtoola and Mother Road Brewing Company—were recognized at the awards dinner for being past graduates of the Moonshot at NACET program who have made a positive economic impact in the city of Flagstaff.
• The 2019 Shoemaker Award winner for outstanding recent Moonshot at NACET graduate/company.
