What is the intern certification program?
For 10 weeks, participating high school, college, university students will experience a high-level introduction of Moonshot’s Track 1 entrepreneurial curriculum for the purpose of understanding the basic fundamentals that entrepreneurs utilize to build successful start-ups. Students can apply what they learn to best market themselves as possible future interns or employees to start-up founders within the Moonshot network and beyond.
Instructors/mentors are Moonshot mentors and/or members ranging from CEOs to angel investors to award-winning entrepreneurs.

Christina Ching
Christina Ching (Program Director for Moonshot at NACET) is the founder of Rise and Make Waves, where she coaches, inspires and encourages women and entrepreneurs to be brave, make waves, and take action in their career and life. She is also the owner of RockBox Fitness in Scottsdale, Arizona, with plans to open additional studios throughout the state. Christina believes everyone has the power and strength to become who they truly are and hitting and kicking bags gives them the opportunity to literally and emotionally feel powerful.

Utilizing the internet for research or by cold-emailing/calling the company in question, learn more about them (For example, what do they do? Do they have a marketing department, a marketing director/manager, or do they contract out to a marketing firm?).

Assumptions/Biases - How subconscious beliefs can have substantial influence on the entrepreneurial journey?
Week 3
Customer Discovery- What is your customer’s pain point? What is the problem you are proposing to solve?
Week 4
Proposed Solution & Pain Points - Determining the true purpose of the entrepreneur’s proposed solution and why it is important for the “elevator pitch?”
Week 5
Competitive Landscape & Advantage- Learning how to assess the competition, alternatives to the proposed solution, and any competitive advantages.
Week 6
Financial Feasibility & Financials- Determining if the venture, product or service is financially feasible with an introduction to basic business finance.
Week 7
Marketing Basics- Discovering ways to bring the product to the target market
Week 8
Value Proposition and Business Model Canvas - The value proposition provides a declaration of intent or a statement that introduces a company's brand to consumers by telling them what the company stands for, how it operates, and why it deserves their business.
