Kick-off reception at the NACET Campus

The purpose of this cocktail mixer is to celebrate entrepreneurship and moonshot thinking and kick-off our Pioneer Pitch event weekend. Pioneer Pitch participants (those who are competing and those who are only attending the workshops), mentors, judges, guest speakers, and VIP community leaders are invited to attend.

Hors d'oeuvre and drinks will be served. Dress is business attire.

6:30pm - Kick-off by Scott Hathcock, CEO of Moonshot at NACET.

6:45pm - Jane Lacy, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Senior Manager/US Partner Advancement Team, will share a bit about the Moonshot at NACET partnership making Flagstaff the 1st AWS Cloudstart City in the US.

Saturday Workshop/Pitch Practice Day

We have a full day of inspiration, education, mentorship, and pitch practice planned for participants. Those who have applied for the contest but were not accepted this year are welcome to join our Saturday events from 9am-1pm.

* These sessions are only available to applicants, participants, mentors, and judges.

9:40-10:00am	Introduction of Mentors and Participants - (Participants who are pitching their company/product introduce themselves using the "Who Am I" worksheet you will receive. Also, it will be available for download on this page. )
10:00-11:45am	Pitch practice with mentors.
10:30-10:45am	Grab lunch for the lunchtime keynote. Lunch provided.
12pm-1pm	Lisa Lloyd - keynote presentation - "Fail Forward" -- Sponsored by WozU. Lunch sponsored by AWS.
1:00pm-1:15pm	Break
1:00-3:00pm	Pitch practice with mentors.
3:00pm-4:30pm	Semi-final Pitch Contest. All participants pitch for mentors in the main room.
4:30pm-4:45pm	Break and mentors meet to determine 8 finalists.
4:45-5:00pm	Announcement of 8 finalists and questions answered regarding Sunday's final pitch event.

Lessons from the Gnombre

Scott Hathcock, Moonshot CEO, interviews Aram Chavez — Faculty, Arizona State University, Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering and founder of Aha to Exit--creator of the world’s first roadmap for innovators to become entrepreneurs. Aram developed the roadmap after years of researching, investing, and developing successful startups.

In this fun, inspiring, down-to-earth discussion, Aram will share lessons he's learned along the rocky road of entrepreneurship and why his Aha to Exit roadmap is different from traditional entrepreneurship education.

LIVE Flagstaff Pioneer Pitch Finals

Eight finalists will compete for cash, scholarships, and Amazon web credits valued at up to $15,000 during Sunday's exciting Shark Tank-style pitch event.
